Program Notes

Composed as my interpretation of the California Towhee and their repeated tweets! I see and hear these cute towhees in Los Angeles especially walking about Lake Hollywood and environs. For such a small little bird, they've got a big personality with their song.

This was commissioned by Synchromy Music in Los Angeles for their Urban Birds Project. It was written for the violinist Xenia Deviatkina-Loh.
